Blackberry Pilot for Portable Intelligence 2.0 Online Now Available
The highly anticipated release of Blackberry Online PI 2.0 has arrived and is ready for eager and enthusiastic pilots to take it for a thorough test drive. Portable Intelligence 2 is the new generation of mobile application that enhances the experience of Student Information System (SIS) users and extends the reach of important information to a broad range of mobile devices such as: Tablet PC's, Laptops, PDA's, PDA phones, and SmartPhones. This enhancement will allow Blackberry mobile users to access PI2 information in online mode.
GICSoft is also diligently working on an offline solution for Blackberry users and looks forward to sharing exciting information about a multitude of features as development evolves.

GISCOFT develops the First Automated Special Education Transportation Algorithm
October, 20, 2009 Atlanta, Georgia - GICSOFT is pleased to announce that it has completed development of the most innovative automated algorithm for special needs students. This module will integrate into GICSOFT’s Pathalyst product which is a pupil transportation system for K-12 school districts.
This technology will enable school districts to realize the maximum level of efficiency, as well as maintaining a high level of service and reducing school districts budgets. “We’ve been working on this component of Pathalyst for an extensive period of time and are very pleased with the performance that the algorithm has shown during internal testing”, said Igor Babushkin, CEO of GICSOFT.
Preliminary test results show that using the Pathalyst SPED module results in a savings between 15 to 30% of the district SPED budget, while making special needs bus routing much easier and safer.
